Ye Olde Recognition

MANCHESTER >> MSN just listed the "50 Best Steakhouses in each state" and a local restaurant was chosen to represent Vermont.

Ye Olde Tavern, a circa 1790 Colonial Inn, has loyal fans who have been coming back for decades along with the new generations of customers drawn by the food, service and atmosphere. Minna and Michael Brandt have been the proprietors of the historic inn since 2001 and attribute their success to the kitchen staff, directed by chef Clifton Cooper, and dining room staff, orchestrated by Cassandra Bender.

Over the years, Ye Olde Tavern has been listed on Thrillist as the "Oldest tavern in Vermont"; Wine Spectator Magazine, "Award of Excellence"; Tripadvisor, "Certificate of Excellence"; State of Vermont, "Green Business"; and in numerous other publications. The tavern motto is "Wining & Dining since 1790."
