TPW matching donations for Carlos Otis Clinic ambulance
STRATTON — A local real estate brokerage firm has pledged to match donations to the Carlos Otis Clinic's fundraising drive for its new ambulance.
The clinic, located at Stratton Mountain Resort, has purchased a $250,000 ambulance and has been raising money over the past year to help pay for it. The fund drive is in its final $25,000 leg.
With that in mind, TPW Real Estate, which has offices in Bondville, has pledged to close that gap and to match up to $12,500 in donations. "The Carlos Otis Clinic is a critical, potentially life-saving, organization that we all benefit from during our time at Stratton," TPW Real Estate said in a social media post.
So far, the effort is up to about $4,000 and climbing, TPW Real Estate CEO Paul W. Carroccio said Friday.
The clinic also held an open house over the past weekend to showcase the new ambulance, Carroccio said.
The clinic was formed to provide both general and urgent care to the Stratton Mountain community during ski season, from scheduled appointments to medical emergencies. It's an independent non-profit with a full time professional nursing staff and an all-volunteer roster of board certified surgeons and physicians.
"We believe the Otis Clinic is one of the most important amenities at the Stratton Mountain Resort," Carroccio said.
