MANCHESTER — Taconic Music has announced four live concerts as part of the 2020 Summer Concert Series.

In one of the only bright spots since March, Taconic Music announced four consecutive Saturdays of live music. The concerts will also be livestreamed for those who would prefer to listen from their homes.

All four performances will be free, but tickets are required and seating will be very limited with only 55 guests allowed per show.

"It will look a little different, with considerably smaller audiences, but we will also be livestreaming each of our concerts so that everyone who wants to hear the music as it is happening can do so, safely in the Riley Center or from home," the group announced in a press release.

The performances will be held at the Riley Center for the Arts on the campus of Burr and Burton Academy.

"Thanks to the generosity of Burr and Burton Academy, who have gifted us not only the use of their space for our rehearsals and concerts, but critical technical and custodial staff, we are able to offer our concerts free to everyone who is able to attend," Taconic Music announced in a press release.

The performances, scheduled for July 11, July 18, July 25 and Aug. 1, will be at 7 p.m.

The limited seating is to adhere to state health guidelines. All who wish to attend will be required to wear face masks in accordance with town guidelines. Additional safety precautions can be found on the Taconic website.

And, Taconic warns, there are still unknowns and the performers and other elements could change.
