Senior St. Patrick's luncheon planned for VFW

MANCHESTER — Seniors ages 60 and over who live in the Northshire are being invited to come to the VFW on Depot Street on Wednesday, March 28 for a belated St. Patrick's Day lunch.

The event is open to all, but seating is limited, so reservations are a must. Call 802-258- 8240, voice or text.

The VFW is providing the basics for this lunch, but donations from those who come to enjoy lunch and the comraderie will be welcomed.

Everyone who attends is also being asked to bring one item to be added to the salad bar. Suggested items might be: a small container of grape or cherry tomatoes, chopped hard-boiled eggs, sliced celery, black olives, some nuts or bacon bits, etc.

After lunch, there will be a panel of local people who will talk about "Safety Issues for Seniors", followed by an opportunity for coffee (or tea) and conversation, a puzzle, a game of Scrabble, or some cards.

Representatives from some of the Senior organizations will be heartily welcomed to explain what they do.

For more information contact Marian Haines at 802-258- 8240.
