To qualify for this highest academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 4.0. The following students were named to the Castleton University dean's List for the spring semester. To qualify for this academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5. CASTLETON — Two area students were recently awarded honors at Castleton University. Adam Mitchell of Granville was awarded the SGA Outstanding Second-Year Award for the 2019-2020 academic year from Castleton University. This award is given annually to the new student who has contributed time, dedication and enthusiasm to the Sophomore Class as well as to the Castleton University community. William Jacob of West Pawlet, was recently awarded the Castleton University Academic Excellence Award in English for the 2019-2020 academic year. The Academic Excellence Award is given annually to a student who is deemed the top student in his or her major.
NORTHFIELD — The following students have been recognized on the Dean's List at Norwich University for the spring 2020 semester: Alyssa Christine Harrington of Arlington and Samuel William Cairns of Manchester Center. Full-time undergraduate students, who earned a semester grade point average of at least 3.40 and had no failures in the previous fall or spring semesters are awarded Dean's List honors. The following student has been recognized on the President's List at Norwich University for the Spring 2020 semester: Lawson Cobleigh Haye of Bondville. Full-time undergraduate students who earned a semester grade point average of 4.0 and had no failures in the previous fall or spring semester are awarded President's List honors.
