DORSET — "Rivalry Week," an original play written by English teacher Luke Krueger, will be presented at Long Trail School at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18.

In creating "Rivalry Week," Krueger engaged Theater Director Anna Bean's seventh-grade drama class in weekly discussions to help him to know more about the students' personalities, their interests, fears and joys.

Krueger crafted the characters in Rivalry Week to specific students based on the discussions, short autobiographies and monologues performed by each student.

The end result is a one-act play with characters and a plot mutually devised by the cast, director and playwright.

Tickets will be available at the door for $3 for students/seniors and $5 for adults.
