Third Annual Cookie Bake-Off Competition to benefit the Community Food Cupboard.

We are so excited to present in coordination with Mother Myrick's, Heritage Family Credit Union, and Bonnet & Main our third annual bake-off competition! Enter the contest and bring in your favorite cookie or bar cookie on Saturday, Nov. 9 for a chance to win great prizes!

This contest is for home bakers only. It is not open to professionally trained bakers. The Northshire Bookstore Cookie Bake Off is a recreational event, all proceeds of which are being donated to the Community Food Cupboard. Although prizes may be awarded to individual entrants, there is no guarantee of any entry being awarded a prize. Entrants agree to provide enough of their baked good to provide samples to at least 40 people. Grand prize winner, as determined by a panel of professional bakers, will be named “Northshire's Best Baker” with newspaper promotion to follow. All entrants agree to have their name published in publicity releases subsequent to this event. There will be four chances to win! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes and a People's Choice Award. Prizes include gift certificate to Northshire Bookstore, Bonnet & Main, Mother Myrick's, and J.K. Adams.

Bring a canned good and be entered into a raffle to win one of five signed copies of Matt Tavares' soon-to-be-classic Holiday book, DASHER!

Bakers will arrive to set-up at 12:30. At 1, customers can purchase tickets to sample the goods and vote on favorites. Milk will be provided! Official judges will be introduced and will taste, discuss and determine their winners. At the end of the bake-off, the winners will be revealed and prizes distributed.

Tickets, both $5 tasting tickets, and $20 entry tickets, will be available here and in our VT store soon!

100 percent of the ticket proceeds for this event will be donated to the Community Food Cupboard.
