Battenkill chorale celebrates Dan Forrest
CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. — Battenkill Chorale will present "Te Deum: New American Songs of Nature and Praise." This program celebrates the music of Dan Forrest, who is at the forefront of a Renaissance in American choral music. Children's author to present book at Northshire Bookstore
MANCHESTER — Children's author Ali Benjamin presents her new book, "The Next Great Paulie Fink," the second novel by the author of "The Thing About Jellyfish." The event will be at 5 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Northshire Bookstore.

Chamber music in the Courtroom
CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. — Director Daniel Shulman leads this series featuring talented musicians from all overthe world. Violinist and violist Kaori Washiyama and mezzo soprano Iris Rogers will perform works by Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert and Strauss. The performance is at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Historic Salem Courthouse, 58 E Broadway, Salem, New York. Tickets are $20, a series of three concert for $54. Future concerts on May 26 and June 23.
Library holds poetry salon
MANCHESTER — Manchester Community Library will hold a Poetry Salon at 6 p.m. Friday, April 26 at the library. Bring a poem or two of your own work to read, and enjoy listening to the diversity of the spoken word.
