WINHALL — A New Hampshire driver suffered serious injuries Wednesday morning in a single-car crash on Route 11, police said.

The driver, identified as Robin Webb, of Lebanon, New Hampshire, was transported by the Manchester Rescue Squad to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, and later transported to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, police said.

Police said Webb's 2006 Chevrolet Express van left the road and struck a tree near Bromley Knolls.

Preliminary investigation shows that Webb was driving too fast for the condition of the road, which was snow-covered and icy.

The crash is under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Winhall Police Department at 802-297-1013.
