MANCHESTER — Harned-Fowler Post 6471, Manchester's local Veterans of Foreign Wars, announced several urgent donations made recently to help during these troubling times. The post held its first ever "teleconference meeting" April 21 with members and approved several very important measures.
The post approved donations of $1,000 to the Manchester Food Cupboard, $1,000 to Hunger Free Vermont, and $500 to the VFW National Home for Children. We had already donated $1,000 to the VFW National Home for Children in February, but agreed the home needed extra help in these times.
The VFW announced that it is here to help our community, and asked if anyone needs, or know someone who needs, any assistance, please reach out directly on its Facebook page at facebook.com/manchesterVTvfw/
