MANCHESTER — The Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning will host author Alex Kershaw to talk about his book, "The First Wave," which will be released in paperback this month May.

The talk will take place via Zoom teleconference at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12.

Kershaw will share "an utterly immersive, adrenaline-driven account of D-Day combat."

Beginning in the predawn darkness of June 6, 1944, the first wave follows the men who carried out D-Day's most perilous missions. The first to fight when the stakes were highest and the odds longest, these men would determine the fate of the invasion of Hitler's fortress Europe — and the very history of the 20th Century.

Registration for the talk is $10 in advance. For more information or to register, please call 802-867-0111 or visit our website at greenmtnacademy.org.
