RUTLAND — The marketing coordinator for the VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region has been named the community liaison for Bennington and Rutland counties, the organization has announced.

Marc Miele will focus on building and growing the agency by developing solid referral relationships and building collaborative partnerships with other healthcare organizations, VNA & Hospice said in a media release.

He will play a key role in the agency's efforts to support referring partners and their patients.

Miele joined the agency in 2015 as the marketing coordinator and also serves as a hospice volunteer. Described as a strong community advocate, Miele has served as a volunteer reader for Everybody Wins.

He currently serves on the board of directors at the Housing Trust of Rutland County and recently completed his board service with United Way of Rutland County. He has also served on the Rutland County Parent Child Center board of directors.

In 2018, Miele was the recipient of the PEG TV Romeo award for his role as producer of the VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region's monthly public access show, The Homecare Connection.
