RUPERT — This year's annual springtime opportunity to meet the lambs at Merck Forest and Farmland Center will be held online this year giving the public the chance to see and learn about this years lambs even if visitation isn't possible because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The event is always popular with throngs of families and visitors attending last spring's lambing

season open house.

"Sadly, this year's crop of lambs will not be able to welcome folks to the property, but they'd still love to meet you," according to a news release issued by Merck Forest and Farmland Center. "So this year we're going virtual."

You can meet the lambs online Saturday, May 16, live on the Merck website — — with live updates on Facebook at staff will answer questions about sheep, lambs, lambing season or anything about the springtime changes on the farm or in the forest.

You can also virtually meet the lambs, sheep and chickens, enjoy some read-alouds. Check out our heavy equipment, and learn more about the natural environment at Merck Forest.
