As part of Vermont READS 2019, Manchester Community Library will present a free film screening on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6:30 p.m. of an award-winning feature film that tells the story of how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. rallied his followers on an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, despite violent opposition, and how their efforts culminated in the Voting Rights Act of 1965 signed by President Lyndon Johnson. The 2015 film stars David Oyelowo, Oprah Winfrey, and Tom Wilkinson.
