LTS seniors present IB art show at SVAC

DORSET — Nine seniors from Long Trail School are showcasing two years' worth of portfolio development in an art show that opened March 14 at Manchester's Southern Vermont Arts Center with an opening reception.

The International Baccalaureate student art show features portfolios in a variety of mediums.

The exhibit, which is on display until March 31, highlights the students' creation of cohesive portfolios that address a personally chosen theme in diverse media.

The nine artists are Michael Daley, Charlee Davis, Nix Forest, Kira Hauptman, Emmett Morgan, Serena Nettleton, Mackenzie Olsen, Noah Patry, and Hope Soucy. The students are studying under Anharad Llewelyn, arts chair for the LTS arts department.

The show is in SVAC's Wilson Gallery. While the gallery is generally closed to the public at this time of year, SVAC staff are available on campus to open the gallery on weekdays from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m., or on weekends upon request. Call SVAC at 802-362-1405 for more information.
