GNAT-TV offers cabin fever camps

SUNDERLAND —Greater Northshire Access Television, the region's community media and training center, is offering five video and animation camps Feb. 17-21.

"Animation Camp" is offered on Monday, Feb. 17, from 9 to 3. Campers will spend the day at GNAT studio learning iPad Stop Motion Animation. They will learn how to create and write a story, build a set, craft characters, film the action, and create voiceovers.

"Cooking Show Camp" is offered on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 9 to 3. Campers will spend the day learning how to bake, design sets, set up the show, operate studio cameras and direct from the control room.

"Learn to Podcast," is offered on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 9 to 3. Campers will learn how to plan, script and produce their own podcast.

"How to Make Your Own TV Show" is offered on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 9 to 3. Campers learn the A to Zs of creating and producing their very own television show.

"Green Screen Television" is offered on Friday, Feb. 21 from 9 to 3. Campers learn how to set up, produce, direct and choose backgrounds for their green screen short films.

All five camps include an action-packed day for kids. Camps are open to ages 7-12 and cost $60 each.

Tuesday, Feb. 18: Loaded Potato topped with Bacon, Broccoli, and Cheese, Glazed Carrots, Cottage Cheese, Fruit Cup. Wednesday, Feb. 19: Lentil Soup, Apple Crisp, Mixed Vegetables, Whole Wheat Herb Roll, Yogurt.
