-- Bennington Catholic Parish announced Faith Formation classes and activities at the Parish Center have been canceled for this weekend. Monday’s Lenten program Wild Goose at St. John the Baptist has also been canceled.

--The Hooker-Dunham Theater and Gallery is suspending upcoming March and April shows.

-- Bennington Museum is suspending all public programs, group tours and school programs through April 30, and is closing the galleries through April 6. 

-- Strolling of the Heifers and The River Garden is postponing all scheduled Brown Bag Lunch events until further notice. 

--New England Center for Circus Arts will be suspending programming until March 30.

-- New England Youth Theatre has decided to suspend all programming, events and performances. Programs that students are currently enrolled in will be rescheduled.

-- All events scheduled for the Williamsville Hall have been postponed and/or canceled

until further notice.

-- The CA$H Coalition of the Greater Capital Region is suspending in-person tax preparation services at all VITA sites effective close of business Friday, March 13 through March 27.

-- Mountain View Seventh-Day Adventist Church: All services are canceled until further notice. The concert scheduled for Saturday evening has also been canceled as well as the Bags of Love quilting group on Sunday morning.

--Guilford Community Church: Services are canceled until further notice.

--Vernon Recreation Department: Daytime activities will be continuing. Vernon Rec will not be holding any programs during evening hours where individuals who would not otherwise be in the building participate. This includes Open Gym, Gym Rentals, Fitness Class, Volleyball, and the Drama Club evening show scheduled for March 27th. Preschool, After School Program, and After School Drama Club will continue to operate.  This is effective through the month of March.

--The United Church of Bernardston monthly Roast Beef Supper for this Saturday has been canceled

-- WSESU and Vernon Elementary: Schools are still open but “large gatherings that bring in people from outside the school” are canceled.

--Pawlet Community Church is suspending services and suppers until further notice. 

--Southern Vermont Arts Center is closed, and has canceled all public programs and group events through March. 

--Vermont Insight Meditation Center has decided to move all sittings, retreats and classes to an online forum, for the coming month.

--The Meadows Educational Center, the BRIDGES program, and the Mulberry Bush Independent School at the Brattleboro Retreat will be closed beginning Monday, March 16 until Monday, April 6. 

--  Zion Episcopal Church, in Manchester is closed for all worship services and meetings until further notice.

-- All Brattleboro Recreation and Parks programs (youth, adult and senior) and facilities have been canceled/closed until further notice. This includes the Brattleboro Senior Center and youth sports registration scheduled for March 18 and 19. 

--West River Community Project has cancelled the West Townshend Country Store Pizza Night for the next few weeks. However they will be baking pizza for take out on Friday night.

-- Brattleboro Winter Farmers’ Market will be open for those vendors wishing to connect with their regular customers March 21 and 28 from 10-2 at 80 Flat St., Brattleboro. However, they are now treating the market as an essential grocery shopping access point, not as the typical community and social gathering place it is. There will be no musicians, the Kid’s Room will be closed, no community groups doing outreach.

-- The '62 Center for Theatre and Dance at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., will be canceling performances until further notice. The theater hopes to be able to reschedule its programs. Those who have purchased tickets will be contacted directly by the Box Office about reimbursement. 

--Yoga Locally has suspended yoga class offerings for at least two weeks. 

-- Boys & Girls Club of Brattleboro closed while schools are closed. 

-- John G. McCullough Free Library is open, all events are canceled through March. 

-- VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region community foot and blood pressure clinics and support groups canceled effective immediately until further notice. 

-- Vermont schools closed until April 6. 

--  Winhall Memorial Library is canceling all programs for two weeks, including Senior Drop-in on Wednesday morning and AARP tax preparation.

-- All Green Mountain Club organized in-person events have been canceled for the remainder of March and for the month of April. 

-- Next Stage has decided to temporarily pause all Next Stage public programming through April 30. 

-- Sandglass Theater is temporarily suspending all programming at home and on tour.

--Bennington County Habitat for Humanity has canceled its construction programs and closed its ReSale Store through March 28, 2020. 

--Vermont Humanities is postponing all public events through May 15.

-- Merck’s property and trails will remain open to the public from dawn until dusk, but all buildings at MFFC including the Visitor Center, sap house, barns and cabins, will be closed until further notice. 

----SVMC practices and inpatient departments have postponed non-urgent visits and procedures beginning Thursday, March 19 until at least Sunday, April 5. 

--As decided by the NewBrook Fire & Rescue Department Board of Trustees, all Saturday night bingo and NewBrook hall rentals and functions are canceled until further notice.

-- Groundworks Drop-In Center has closed and they have moved to 24/7 operation of our Seasonal Overflow Shelter.

-- Hoosick Falls Senior Center (N.Y.) is closed until further notice; meal delivery still on. 

-- Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department has postponed all Hunter, Bowhunter and Trapper Education courses.  

-- Bennington Area Makers has suspended March activities. 

-- All events at Northshire Bookstore canceled. 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18

-- Putney Mountain Association is postponing the Dummerston Trail Project meeting and Tom Wessels presentation on “Connections: Nature's Most Important Attribute.”

-- All Brattleboro Recreation and Parks programs (youth, adult and senior) and facilities have been canceled/closed until further notice. This includes the Brattleboro Senior Center and youth sports registration scheduled for March 18 and 19. 

-- No bingo at the VFW.

-- Compassionate Brattleboro is canceling "Safety in a Compassionate Community." 

-- Bennington County Conservation District’s No-Till Cover Crop workshop is postponed. 

--The Architecture + Design Film Series screening of “Glenn Murcutt: Spirit of Place” at 118 Elliot in Brattleboro has been canceled.

-- Relay for Life has postponed the basket bingo benefit at Bennington Elks. 

-- Dorset Historical Society’s Brown bag lunch lecture is canceled.

THURSDAY, MARCH 19 

-- Connecticut River Valley Chapter and Deerfield River Watershed Trout Unlimited Chapter combined meeting is canceled. 

-- The Dorset Church’s free community dinner is canceled.

--  Baker Street Readers will postpone their performance of Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Adventure of the Naval Treaty” at the Hooker-Dunham Theater in Brattleboro.

-- Tinmouth Contra Dance event is canceled.

--Bennington Community Dance Circle at the Yoga Place is canceled. 

-- Weston Film Club’s screening of “Transit” is canceled. 

-- West River Community Project has cancelled the West Townshend Country Store Pizza Night for the next few weeks. However they will be baking pizza for take out on Friday night.

--The Sparkle Barn is canceling the screening of “Be Natural.”

-- All parenting activities at Sunrise Family Resource Center are canceled until further notice. 

-- St. Patrick's Church in Cambridge, N.Y. has canceled their fish fry all parish activities including weekend services.

SATURDAY, MARCH 21

--Guilford Community Church’s Sugar on Snow Supper is canceled. 

--Special Olympics Vermont has issued a statement canceling events in March, including the Plunge portion of the Penguin Plunge event scheduled for March 21 at Bromley Mountain. SOVT staff still plans to be on-site at Bromley that day with information and fun penguin-themed games – Southern Vermont folks have done a terrific job fundraising for this event, and all of us at Bromley was super excited to host it. What does this mean for Bromley’s “Spring Splash” weekend? There may not be a splash component, but as of now, we’ll still have plenty of outdoor fun in store (see events schedule for details) for Bromley guests and Special Olympics Vermont supporters who would like to attend. Bromley Mountain is following current guidance from the Vermont Department of Health in conjunction with the CDC to protect both staff and guests.

-- Bennington Area Makers Coding Workshop in Bennington has been postponed to a date TBD.

-- Merck’s Pancake Breakfast event is canceled.

The Historical Society of Windham County's Annual Soup Fest and Silent Auction scheduled for Sunday, March 29 is cancelled due to the COVID-19 concerns. At this time, Board of Directors hopes to reschedule the Silent Auction as part of an event during the upcoming summer season.
