To the Editor:

On behalf of the Manchester Riverwalk, we would like to extend a big "thank you" to the town, John O'Keefe, Jeff Williams, Steve Casey, Shawn Towsley and Randy Young for installing a hand rail on the steps leading down to the Riverwalk from the Factory Point Town Green entrance.

We are very appreciative, as are our many community members who have asked for this feature to ensure their safety getting down to the trail.

Great job!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank four students from Stratton Mountain School, Connor and Ryan Kelly, Peyton Gray and Michael Crabtree, as well as their teacher, Robert Rose, for pitching in to remove invasive garlic mustard along the river.

This will allow our native plants to survive.

Well done!

Eileen Braheney,
