Letter: Rescue squad thankful for support

To the Editor:As always happens here in the Northshire, everyone pulls together to support the critical services we need. On behalf of the Manchester Rescue Squad and the board, I would like to extend our thanks to all for your continued support. It takes the combination of many to keep us running 24/7, 365 days a year. The new support structure implemented in June with the 5 towns we serve is a strong foundation. Our annual subscription program, giving 100% coverage to participating households, along with the annual fund drive in December are critical. This year, we have decided a name change for the rescue squad was in order. One that best speaks to our non-profit, independent organization as well as our mission of serving multiple towns including Manchester, Dorset, Danby, Mt. Tabor and lower Winhall. Please help us by casting your vote in the postal mailing response you received or online at manchesterrescuesquad.orgUnder the leadership of COO Michael Casey, the squad is compassionate, highly trained and dedicated to their jobs and the Northshire. They get nothing but praise for the job they do. I am proud to serve on the board and to help them do their jobs. Thank you again for all your past and continued support.John ContePresident, Board of DirectorsManchester Rescue Squad
