James holds introductory meetings
Journal StaffNewly elected State Rep. Kathleen James is holding an informal "meet your new legislator" event in each of the four communities she'll be representing.James was recently elected to serve Bennington District 4.Please come to share your ideas, issues, priorities and concerns prior to the Jan. 9 opening of the legislative session in Montpelier. Free coffee and cookies will be provided.The first event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at the Sunderland Town Hall, located at 104 Mountain View Road. The meeting will be held right before the 6:30 p.m. select board meeting.Sunderland is split between two districts and the meeting will be held in conjunction with newly elected state Rep. David Durfee, who was elected to serve Bennington District 3.The next meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Sons of the American Legion Post 69 located at 54 Legion Road. The meeting will be held prior to the 6:30 p.m. meeting of the Arlington Area Renewal Project.The third meeting in the series will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Sandgate Town Hall located at 3266 West Sandgate Rd.
