Gallery Six reopening for fall

MANCHESTER -- Gallery Six, located at 4542 Main St. in the old Ugg building, will open its doors again from October 6 through October 28, welcoming a new artist Fiona Moorhead to the gallery.

The gallery incluides five women artists: Oil painter Marilyn Cavallari with large contemporary landscapes and seascapes; Irene Cole, who paints with acrylics on wood with beautiful abstract designs; Kate Franklin, a modern realist with large oil paintings of colorful flower gardens, ocean scenes and a few smaller landscapes; Mallory Rich, who paints with oils and pastels producing intriguing landscapes, flowers and a sheep portrait; and Morehouse, who works with oils and wax applying it with a pallet knife.

As she remarked "lighting the way to the path toward freedom using vibrant colors, candid lines and fertile texture". Morehouse received her BA in art instruction from McDaniel College in Maryland, her graduate certification at Hood College, and was a student at the New York Art League. She has exhibited throughout the Northeast and is in many collections throughout the U.S.

Visitors are welcome on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Extended hours will be held until 8 p.m. from Wednesday to Saturday guring ITVFest. The gallery is also open by appointment by calling 802-379-0759
