Fundraiser planned for BBA Performing Arts Program

DORSET — The Burr and Burton Parent Association is presenting a Murder Mystery Evening Fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 16, to benefit the BBA Performing Art Program.

A bountiful spread of appetizers and beverages from southern Vermont's favorite chefs and spirit makers — West Mountain Inn, Al Ducci's, Depot Caf , Dorset Union Store, J.J. Hapgood's, Social House, Earth and Sea Fish Market, Mother Myrick's, Raven's Den, The Silver Fork and Tost — as you become detectives in this fun-filled party.

As a detective, you will question the cast of Clue "suspects" and see if you can collect enough clues to solve the crime. The Plot: Southern region of Vermont, 1953 at Boddy Mansion, located 10 minutes east of Burr and Burton Academy. When Mr. Boddy turns up murdered in his residence, six houseguests are identified as witnesses. These witnesses soon become suspects when it turns outs all six have the means, motive and desire to have murdered Mr. Boddy. The Objective: Burr and Burton Academy embraces the arts as a central component to a student's education. BBA Arts educators are committed to providing the best possible opportunities for the students in the community. They want to go beyond offering a traditional arts education program and create an experience that will have a profound life-changing impact on its students.

Money raised will help provide students with up-to-date theater and media equipment, musical instrument rental and repair, and on-hand adjunct staff in multiple disciplines.
