DORSET — The Dorset Church women are holding their summer raffle upholding a tradition that dates back into the 1970s. The raffle this year will feature a painting by local artist and church member, Terry Lindsay, the owner of Tilting at Windmills Gallery. Lindsay's painting is an 18-by-14 inch oil on panel titled Dorset Vignettes, and is in the style of Doug Smith.

Also featured in the raffle is this year's quilt, "Nancy's Dream," handmade by the women of the church, and a coordinating pillow designed and stitched by Kay Somin. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three tickets for $5.

To obtain raffle tickets, call Ginny Longacre at 802-867-0297 or the church office at 802-867-2260. Be sure to specify which drawing you want to enter — painting or quilt. Or both!

The drawing is scheduled for Aug. 12 at The Dorset Church Summer Supper.
