Norfolk Chamber Music Festival
Concerts in the 19th century were different affairs from classical music concerts today. Instead of full symphonies, concerts might feature a movement alone. And variety was key. Hearing several different composers was the norm, along with a focus on vocal rather than instrumental music. Norfolk Chamber Music Festival is recreating this experience in its July 19 concert called Concert in the Style of 1810. Composers include Mozart, Puccini, Schoenfield and Poulenc.
