Manchester Farmers Market

Posted by

Summer is in full swing at the Manchester Farmers Market so be sure to stop by with the whole family on Thursday, July 25. We’ll have live music from well-known guitarist Barry Hyman and our kids' programs, Art Farm and PoP -- Power of Produce, will be going strong.

Held every Thursday, rain or shine, from 3 to 6 p.m. in Adams Park, 5101 Main St. (7A) in Manchester Center, the market is your one-stop shop for just-picked produce, yummy baked goods, melt-in-your-mouth meats and cheeses, breathtaking fresh flowers and unique crafts and beauty products.

The market is producer-only, meaning that every vendor must have had a direct hand in making the food or crafts they sell. There’s always plenty of parking at the Gringo Jack’s lot across the street and the market accepts credit and debit cards, EBT and Farm to Family coupons. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Always a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, the market is also a family favorite for its kids’ activities. Art Farm, a supervised tent where children make free agriculture-inspired crafts, will run from June 27 through Aug. 29.

During July, PoP Club, which stands for Power of Produce, gives kids ages 5-12 a free coupon worth $2 to use at any booth. And on Aug. 15, the ever-popular Kids’ Market Day, will let budding young entrepreneurs sell their homemade treats, crafts or fresh produce.
