Quondell Knight, 25, was arrested early Saturday morning after an investigation by the Vermont State Police determined that Knight had assaulted his former girlfriend.

The State Police were called to a residence at 431 East Arlington Road around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday for a domestic disturbance. The female residing at that location - whose name was not released - told police that Knight had just assaulted her and left the scene when he was picked up by another man. The car Knight was riding in was stopped by state troopers who were on their way to the scene. Following the investigation, Knight was arrested, placed on $10,000 bail and transported to the Marble Valley Correctional Facility, according to a press release from the state police.

Knight was also placed on conditions to appear in Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Monday, Nov. 5, at 12:30 p.m.
