BBA's Hannah Pinkus named to All-New England soccer team

Journal Sports

MANCHESTER — Burr and Burton senior midfielder Hannah Pinkus finished up a strong soccer career with the Bulldogs last month, helping her team make it back to the state championship game in Burlington.

On Monday, she was honored for efforts this season as she was named to the All-New England Region team by the United Soccer Coaches.

Pinkus scored nine goals for BBA, good for second on the team and only trailing her sister Grace, who scored 19.

This is the second consecutive year that a Bulldogs player was named to an All-New England team. Last year, Breukelen Woodard was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-New England team. Woodard just finished up her freshman season at South Carolina, where she had four assists on a team that went all the way to the NCAA tournament semifinals.

Other Vermont soccer players to be honored Monday included: Patrick O'Hara of South Burlington (All-American), Cricket Basa of Montpelier (All-American), Natalie Durieux of Champlain Valley Union, Noah Swainbank of Enosburg Falls and Amerlin Nemeye of South Burlington.
