MANCHESTER — Photography students from Burr and Burton Academy will be featured in a student-only four-day photography exhibit.

The show, "Northshire and the Mountains - Our Home," will run Thursday Dec. 6, through Sunday, Dec. 9, at stART Space on Depot Street in Manchester. An opening reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at stART Space. The reception is open to the public and there will be hors-d'oeuvres and music.

"Northshire and the Mountains - Our Home" is Burr and Burton's largest, private, all-inclusive student photography show featuring the work of more than 40 photography students currently enrolled in Alex Vincent's photography class. It is a unique collection of images that show the individual connection each student has with a town, community or environment. The show is sponsored by Michael and Carolina Ellenbogen, owners of stART Space, an abstract art gallery. The student photography show is the first exhibit at stART Space that isn't an abstract show.

The Ellenbogens have cleared a large section of their gallery to devote to the student photo exhibit, and will contribute 10 percent from any sales of any artwork currently on exhibit in the gallery's Autumn Show during the student photo exhibit to the Burr and Burton photography program.

All images will be available for purchase.
