Flying Cloud Institute is hosting a free pop-up Art Cafe & Silent Auction. The event will feature a dessert buffet, gourmet coffee, wine, beverages, and a silent auction with art work by professional local artists and young artists of the Berkshires. It will be held at the Daniel Arts Center gallery at Bard College at Simon's Rock, Great Barrington on July 27 from 3 to 6 p.m.

The silent auction will feature works by Robin Tost, Joe Wheaton, Dai Ban, Paula Shalan, Ann Getsinger, Ben Krupka,, Shawn Fields, Ben Evans, Cynthia Atwood, Andrew Zdziarski, Brian Mikesell, Ellen Grenadier, Nicole Campanale, Larry Zingale and other artists. Proceeds will benefit Flying Cloud Institute's science, technology and arts programs for Berkshire County youth.

"We welcome all members of the community to come check out our Art Cafe & Silent Auction," said Maria Rundle, Flying Cloud's Executive Director. "The works on display will include wonderful sculpture, ceramics, paintings, jewelry and photography by well-known local artists. We're also excited to be showing featured art work from young artists who have participated in our programs."

About Flying Cloud Institute: The mission of Flying Cloud Institute is to inspire young people and educators through dynamic science and art experiences that ignite creativity. Flying Cloud's programs promote creative thinking, problem solving, and mastery learning in STEM disciplines through an integrated approach incorporating environmental studies with visual and performing arts. Programs include summer camps, after-school programming at local schools, and professional development for teachers.
