SHUSHAN, N.Y. — Dionondehowa Wildlife Sanctuary & School will host Jesse Bruchac of Ndakinna in Greenfield, N.Y., who returns to offer another "Introduction to Abenaki" language workshop. The workshop will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m.

In song and story, Jesse brings back to the Battenkill Valley the ancient language, once heard along the river and among the thickly-hemlocked hills.

For purposes of planning for social distancing, space is limited and reservations must be confirmed by emailing dionondehowa@yahoo.com or phoning 518-854-7764. Dionondehowa is a 217-acre forever-wild nonprofit land trust bordering the Battenkill, located at 148 Stanton Road. A donation is requested for this program.
