Help decorate the Village for holidays

To the editor: I do believe that summer, 2021, is over – the days are getting shorter, and it’s time to think ahead to the 2021-22 holiday season in the Northshire.

As far as I know, the Village of Manchester will be adding lighted wreaths to the ornamental light fixtures along Historic Route 7A again this year.

I am hopeful that homeowners and businesses throughout the Northshire might want to join in the effort to “light up the Northshire” (an idea promoted by Gov. Scott, I believe, last year). People could do that by adding a wreath and a string of lights to their outdoor décor this year.

To help people with planning, the wreaths that were used in the Village for the past two years were 30” forever wreaths, available from Aubuchon, wrapped with “warm” LED mini lights. I believe we used strings of 100 lights. Of course, natural pine wreaths of any size could be used, and lights could also be used with a garland to wrap a lamppost or to outline an entrance door.

Wouldn’t it be lovely to see the Northshire blanketed with greenery and little white lights this year?

Thanks in advance for considering what you can do.
