Two schools in the Taconic & Green Regional School District have had positive COVID-19 cases.

Superintendent Randi Lowe of the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union announced the positive cases Monday.

One case was at Currier Memorial School. Lowe said the individual was last in school on Jan. 25 and anyone who required quarantine or whose class schedule will be impacted was notified by the school Monday afternoon.

The other case is at Sunderland Elementary School, where an individual has been under quarantine so there are were no close contacts in the building and school will continue as scheduled.

“Numbers remain higher than we would like in our region, so please continue to follow health and safety guidelines,” Lowe said. “We are all weary and eager for an end to these practices, but for the foreseeable future, we need to stay the course. I appreciate your commitment to the health and safety of our school community and each other.”
