RUPERT — With a November chill in the air, it’s a perfect time to head up to Merck Forest & Farmland Center for a walk in the woods and around the farmstead.

MFFC requests that all visitors comply with Vermont’s physical and social distancing protocols when on the property.

All trails remain open; all outbuildings remain closed; the Visitor Center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Second Saturday Hikes continue 4 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and Dec. 12.

Admission is $5; reservations are required.

Because it is hunting season, all hikers and their pups need to wear a hunter orange vest.

Please read all MFFC COVID-19 guidelines before registering.

Both hikes will be led by knowledgeable staff, who will guide hikers through Merck Forest’s farm and forest trail network.
