MANCHESTER — The annual Manchester Unsung Heroes awards is again looking for nominations of deserving citizens and, this year, the committee is expanding the awards to honor inaugural members of the Covid Honor Roll to acknowledge "Manchester residents who have gone above and beyond for their neighbors during this pandemic."

The Citizen Recognition Committee of the Manchester Select Board is accepting nominations for 2020 Manchester Unsung Heroes until Oct. 16.

Nominations for the Unsung Heroes award and Covid Honor Roll should be emailed to the committee at

Include a narrative explanation for the nomination as well as contact information for you and your nominee.

A ceremony announcing and presenting the awards is planned for 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Applejack Field Grandstand.

Social distancing and Covid precautions will be observed.
