BENNINGTON — The Bennington Police Department, assisted by state and county law enforcement, announced that they will be conducting sobriety checkpoints during Thanksgiving weekend.

The initiative will focus on removing impaired drivers from the roadway, seatbelt enforcement and a reduction in overall vehicle crashes.

Motorists are urged to use a designated driver whenever necessary and to always wear seatbelts.
