MANCHESTER — The Northshire Bookstore is hosting a couple of author conversations and digital discussions.

On Tuesday, July 14, at 5 p.m., international bestselling author Lisa Alther, author of Swan Song, will have a conversation with former Vermont governor Madeleine May Kunin, an author herself.

Swan Song, a new novel by Alther is set on a cruise ship and is about a woman, a doctor in charge of the ship's clinic, recovering from the loss of her longtime female lover, a much-admired writer, and coping with the high-wire madcappery of cruise ship life as she reckons with her past and feels her way into the future.

Also on Tuesday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m., join the Northshire as Harper Collins celebrates the launch of The Order, with Daniel Silva, a New York Times No. 1 bestselling author.

For the first time ever, the book tour is happening at Silva's house and you are invited via Crowdcast to join him live. The event will include a peek behind the scenes at where Silva works.

Silva will be ready and waiting to answer your questions about The Order.
