Young playwrights workshops set
MANCHESTER >> Are you 18 or under? Have you written a play? Started a play? Thought about writing a play? The Manchester Community Library and the Dorset Theatre Festival Young Playwrights Program want to hear your voice and share it with others.
Students from all regional middle schools and high schools are welcome to participate in this unique 2-day workshop led by DTF Artistic Director Dina Janis and writer/director Harvey Flaxman in the Manchester Community Library's YA Loft on Wednesday, April 27, and Thursday, April 28. from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Participants will study the building blocks of what makes a great play through improvisation and theatre games. At the end of the second day's workshop you will have the beginnings of a new play in the works, which can be submitted, if desired, to the DTF Young Playwrights Competition by May 31.
