Yoga workshop series starting

MANCHESTER VILLAGE - Heart of the Village Yoga Studio will be holding an Ayurveda Workshop Series beginning March 20th.

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of health and living well. It provides guidelines on ideal daily and seasonal routines, diet, exercise and behavior. Ayurveda reminds people that health is the dynamic integration between the individual and unique body, mind, environment, and spirit. Workshop conductors Kate Logan and Lini Mazumdar open the series with Understanding Your True Nature, an introduction to Ayurveda, on Thursday, March 20, from 6 until 8:30 p.m. Five more workshops are offered once a month, April through August. Each workshop stands on its own, or those interested can take all 6. The complete schedule is as follows:

Attendees will learn simple and effective ways to cultivate balance and health on a daily and seasonal basis, through what they eat, when and how they eat, and their lifestyle practices and choices. Recommendations will be given for each Dosha.
