Westin to exhibit at Bennington arts center

BENNINGTON - On Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Bennington Center For The Arts will host a free reception for three exhibitions: "Impressions of New England," "The Small Works Show" and "Art & The Animal Kingdom." In the afternoon one can attend two lectures given by Carl Brest Van Campen and Douglas Lindsey.

Every year the arts center hosts works of art from artists all over North America. The "Small Works" exhibition displays a variety of subjects: figuratives, landscapes, cityscapes, wildlife and still-lifes. "Impressions of New England" includes over 70 scenes seashores, rolling hills, foliage, New England wildlife and more captured in paint and bronze. Artists Sue Westin of Dorset and Shelli DuBoff of Bennington are among the artists represented in the Impressions exhibition. Many of the works in these three exhibitions are available for purchase. BCA, a non-profit art center is located just west of Bennington on Vermont Route 9 at 44 Gypsy Lane and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesdays.
