Weight loss workshop

MANCHESTER - A free weight loss workshop sponsored by Take Shape For Life, Inc on Tuesday, Nov. 13, will help support the Manchester Rescue Squad.

Take Shape for Life, Inc, a physician-led organization of health coaches and health care professionals will focus on helping people create optimal health in their lives by hosting a free weight loss seminar at the Manchester Rescue Squad training room. Dorset's Linda O'Leary & Krissi Barker, TSFL Health Coaches, will be hosting this informational seminar.

"Take Shape For Life provides a time tested solution for the country's biggest challenge: weight loss," said Take Shape For Life Certified Health Coach Deb Holton-Smith, mentor to area health coaches. "Over two years ago I have personally lost 47 pounds with Take Shape For Life and my husband has lost 40 pounds. We are living proof that it works."

The seminar will feature one of the country's leading experts in obesity and weight loss, Dr. Rick Martino, Certified Health Coach and Presidential Director with Take Shape For Life.

"We are on a mission to get America healthy, one person at a time," remarked Dr. Rick. "On Nov 13th, I will share the secret to safe, inexpensive, rapid weight loss that includes a free Health Coach to guide individuals on the journey to optimal health. But the best part is that people will also learn the habits of health to make sure the weight never comes back."

The goal of the Manchester & Over the Mountain Health Coaches is to raise $6,000 to purchase protective safety jackets for the Manchester Rescue Squad staff and volunteers.

"We are aiming to raise $6,000, with the help of health coaches donating $25 per client who joins our TSFL program!" shared Linda O'Leary who has already lost over 80 lbs on this 5 + 1 plan. Also, one can encourage participants to ask family & friends to support this TSFL fund raiser by pledging $ for each pound that they lose.

Approaching 50 years of service, the Manchester Rescue Squad, a non-profit organization, responds to over 1,200 emergency calls a year to the Northshire of Bennington County, including Manchester, Dorset, E. Dorset, Danby, Mt. Tabor, Rupert, and Winhall. Through a combination of paid staff and volunteers, the squad provides Paramedic level emergency services 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week.
