Week of music and dance at Long Trail School

Posted
DORSET - Music fills the air as Long Trail School opens its doors for song and celebration. The first music concert of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the theater at the Hunter Center (with a snow date of Wednesday, Dec.12). Performing ensembles include the 7th grade Middle School band class, the Junior Wind Ensemble, the International Baccalaureate Music class, and both Middle and Upper School choruses. This free performance is a wonderful display of talent: come and hear student voices and instruments raised in melody.

Later in the week, the Middle School Snowflake Ball at LTS will be held in the Winter Wonderland-themed Physical Activity Center on Friday, Dec. 14 from 7-9 p.m.. Area middle school students are invited to attend this semi-formal dance. Admission is $7 with 25 percent of the proceeds to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief. Enjoy great music, food, games, and prizes. During the dance, families are invited to stay for treats and holiday music in the Whalen Common Room while creating a bowl for Empty Bowls 2013.
