Webers celebrated 50th wedding anniversary

ARLINGTON - Mr. and Mrs. Ronald and Anne Duffy Weber of Arlington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday at the 4 p.m. Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Arlington.

Mass was followed by a fellowship gathering at the American Legion Hall, hosted by their children and spouses, Kathleen Weber Ya-F1ez and husband, Craig of Sunderland, Patrick Weber and wife, Carolyn of Georgia, Vt., Kevin Weber and wife, Cheri of Sandgate, and Sharon Weber and partner, Mike Rosenberger of Manchester.

The couple wed on Aug. 31, 1963, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Houston, Texas. Rev. J.D. Connolly, Pastor, officiated.

Mr. Weber is a graduate of Rice University, Houston, Texas where he earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is retired after 28 years working in the oil industry. Mrs. Weber is a graduate of University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. She taught High School English and Creative Writing at Incarnate Word Academy and Duchesne Academy in Houston, Texas and at Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai, Calif.

The couple recently retired following 26 years as B&B Owners-Innkeepers in Arlington. They are grandparents to eight grandchildren: Brittany, Jessica, and Cole Ya-F1ez, Michael, Amelia, and Thomas Weber, Stephanie Farden and Brett Weber, and one great grandchild: Natalie Farden.

Throughout their years of marriage they have lived in Texas, California, England, Scotland, and Vermont. They continue to enjoy traveling internationally and throughout the United States, seeing new sights and visiting family and friends.
