VRP to hold charity hockey match

MANCHESTER - Vermont Reading Partners will host their annual charity hockey match between the Green Mountain Boys and the Vermont Law Enforcement Hockey Club on Sunday, Feb. 17, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Riley Rink. Admission is free.

The afternoon will include "chuck-a-puck" (throw a puck closest to the center of the ice and win half the purse), raffle baskets, and free books for children of all ages.

The Bookshare table will be open from 3 p.m. Vermont Reading Partners, an affiliate of ProLiteracy is a volunteer literacy program that offers free help to children and adults throughout southwestern Vermont; reading, writing, math, English as another language, basic computer skills, GED study, and a School Program offered to 10 area schools.
