Village DRB approves hotel application

MANCHESTER VILLAGE -- The village's Development Review Board has a proved an application made by an investment group headed by local resident Clark French to build a new 85 room hotel on the site currently occupied by the shuttered Village Country Inn on Main Sreet.

The vote was 4-1, with one member of the board abstaining, and came after an hour long deliberative session which followed an earlier presentation made by French which outlined a few changes they had made to the proposal to address earlier concerns raised by the board.

French said after the decision was announced he was very pleased with the outcome.
