Veterans benefits outreach offered

MANCHESTER >> On Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the VFW Post 6471, located at 280 Depot Street, those interested to learning about their eligibility for VA benefits can attend a presentation at the post. Those interested should bring copies of their DD-Form 214 discharge papers with them.

The Vermont Veterans Home will be on hand at Post 6471 to discuss eligibility to use the Vermont Veterans Home. They will be able to answer critical questions including: How do you get in the home? What are the costs? What services do they provide to our elderly and disabled veterans including rehabilitation, assisted living and full care?

Veterans and their families are encouraged to take this opportunity to talk with a knowledgeable Service Officer. For more information, call the post at 802-362-9840.
