Vermont Reads Wonder program gets underway
The social services agency received a grant from the Vermont Humanities to act as sponsoring group for this State-wide reading program. Collaborating organizations are the Weston Wilder Library, the South Londonderry Free Library and The Collaborative at Flood Brook.
"Wonder," by R. J. Palacio relates the story of fifth-grader Auggie Pullman, who was born with a severely-disfigured face, as he strives to be just an ordinary kid with an extraordinary face. The prevailing theme of the novel is kindness, inclusion and tolerance.
