UPDATE -- Townshend women still missing following weekend air search

TOWNSHEND - The Vermont State Police continued their search for a missing Townshend woman. On Saturday, Sept. 14, State Police utilized the Vermont Civil Air Patrol in an effort to locate Helen Holmes,59, of Townshend. The Vermont Civil Air Patrol searched the Jamaica and Townshend areas, but the search turned up no new leads or clues, according to a statement released by the state police Monday morning, Sept. 16.

Holmes was reported missing on Friday, Sept. 6, and was last seen that morning at 9 a.m. Holmes is described as 5'6" tall and 150 lbs. She has blonde hair and is possibly operating Vermont registration DAK316, a 2010 Subaru Forester red in color. At this time, Holmes' whereabouts are unknown.
