UCS to hold Teen Substance Abuse group

BENNINGTON/MANCHESTER - United Counseling Service is holding a Teen Substance Abuse and Education Group, which is ideal for teens ages 16-18 who are using, abusing and experimenting with substances. Individuals who are, or who know someone who is, suffering from substance abuse are encourged to attend the group.

The interactive group will focus on drug and alcohol education - physical, psychological, and behavioral effects of drugs; progression of substance use; family influences; and relapse prevention skills.

The group will run free of charge on Wednesdays from 3-4:30 p.m. starting Oct. 31 at the UCS Ledge Hill facility in Bennington.
