Tractor parade winners announced by Chamber

MANCHESTER - The Manchester and the Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners in the Third Annual Lighted Tractor Parade held Dec. 1.

Judges for the event were Bill Drunsic, Spiral Press Café; Pauline Moore, Town of Manchester Economic Development, Colin Moore, Manchester Score and Greg DeLuca of W. Vanderlip Design. Floats were judged on originality, use of lights and presentation.

Big Brothers Big Sisters took the first place prize of $500. Big Brothers Big Sisters supports mentoring services for 24 children in the Northshire.

Second prize was a tie between GNAT and Hildene. They split the $300 prize. Greater Northshire Access Television (GNAT-TV) is our area's Public, Education and Government access media center serving the communities of Arlington, Dorset, Londonderry, Manchester, Peru, Rupert, Sandgate, Stratton, Sunderland, Weston, and Winhall.

Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home includes the Hildene Farm, Sunbeam Pullman Car, meadows, and the wetlands. More information can be found at

Third place of $200 went to Cub Scout Pack 333 serving youth in the Manchester and the Mountains area for the past 40 years is sponsored by the Harned-Fowler VFW Post 6471 in Manchester.
