Town tree lit, Santa takes note(s)


MANCHESTER — Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived Saturday evening, Nov. 28, to help with the official treelighting ceremonies and innaugurate the holiday season. A cookie contest, carol singing, and the lighting of the town Christmas tree preceded Santa's arrival, which came courtesy of the Manchester Fire Department. The Burr and Burton football team took the honors to flip the switch to light the tree.

The town tree lighting is only the start to a month-long series of events that will be unfolding between now and the holidays next month. The annual lighted tractor parade will be taking place next Saturday, Dec. 5. ann inn tour will be taking place the following weekend, on Dec. 11 and 13.That will be followed i turn by the Elf Express train excursion ride, on Dec. 19 and 20.
